Mark Watts, candidate for editor of The Journalist, chose to organise a red hunt in the National Union of Journalists and allied himself with a former Ulster Unionist MP, Lord Laird of Artigarvan, to ask a question in the Lords.
Today he has secured the support of the British National Party (BNP) in London.
A website called London Patriot, which claims to support the BNP, has rallied behind Watts and is using his wild allegations to attack the media and the NUJ’s opposition to the BNP.
London Patriot
The site says “We are an independent site for London nationalists. We fully support and will promote the British National Party as we believe it is the only serious vehicle for the advancement of British Nationalism. However, any opinions expressed in posts or comments are those of the authors and not necessarily that of the British National Party.”
It openly supports the BNP and now openly supports Mark Watts.
If you start a reds-under-the-beds witch hunt, Mark, and ally yourself with nutty right-wingers such as Lord Laird of Artigarvan, you lay out clearly which side you are on. It was only a matter of time before this would happen.
The BNP
This site does not link to the BNP or any of its “front” organisations.
Mainstream political parties threaten to deselect MPs who do not repay over-claimed expenses, even though they have done nothing illegal. None would tolerate members with criminal convictions.
Yet the BNP is run by convicted thugs and racists. It is not a proper political party but a veneer of acceptability masking the racist violence of fascism.
Hitler was elected using the same tricks.
